Pro- and anti IS demonstrations in the Hague on different locations

On Saturday September 20 The Hague will house several pro- and anti IS demonstrations on different locations. Because anti- and pro IS demonstrations in the migrant neighbourhood the Schilderswijk resulted in confrontations between the two sides, the mayor of The Hague decided to appoint different demonstration locations for each group.

Flight MH17 with a Boeing 777-200 operated by Malaysia Airlines broke up in the air probably as the result of structural damage caused by a large number of high-energy objects that penetrated the aircraft from outside. This is mentioned in the preliminary report on the investigation into the crash of MH17 that has been published today by the Dutch Safety Board. There are no indications that the MH17 crash was caused by a technical fault or by actions of the crew.

Algae refinery opened in Lelystad

Micro-algae are seen as one of the most promising raw materials for the sustainable production of ingredients for food, animal feed, chemicals and bio based materials. The introduction of VALORIE, the first mobile algae refinery factory, in Lelystad in the Netherlands, represents an important step in the commercialisation of algae, which may enable algae to be produced on a larger scale.

The Dutch Safety Board will issue the preliminary report on the investigation into the crash of MH17 on Tuesday 9 September 2014. The preliminary report will be available at www.safetyboard.nl at 10:00 AM local time Amsterdam (08:00 hours UTC).
