Yesterday thousands were standing along the highways and on bridges to pay the last respect to the bodies arriving in the Netherlands. The Dutch government started a lobby to send hundreds of international soldiers and forensic experts to Ukraine. The soldiers will need to protect the MH17 crash site, while the experts can search for the last human remains and do research to find evidence. When Ukraine agrees to the presence of foreign troops on their territory, a new UN resolution would not be necessary. Sending troops to the east of Ukraine seems to be a risky operation.

Yesterday thousands were standing along the highways and on bridges to pay the last respect to the bodies that were brought from Eindhoven airport to a military complex in Hilversum, where the identification will take place.

Today another 74 coffins will be transported from Charkov to the Netherlands. The leader of the coordination team thinks that it should be possible to finalise the transport of all body bags to the Netherlands this weekend.

The Dutch Safety Board did not find any evidence that the data on the Cockpit Voice Recorder has been manipulated. The content of the recorder has been read and now it will take some weeks to research both black boxes.
