Dutch horse meat scandal |

The horse meat scandal already shocked Europe in 2013. Now it turned out that the Dutch are still the head of the criminal network. European investigators have seized an international ring of meat fraudsters and seized a total of 66 suspects. The criminal network is responsible for the big European horse-meat scandal of 2013, Europol stated. The criminal network is said to have sold cheap horse meat as expensive beef. The meat was not suitable for human consumption and was partly treated with medicines. According to Europol the head of the gang is a Dutch meat merchant. He was arrested in Belgium.
