The French government will unveil the paths of its justice reform with five major projects. One of them focuses on the effectiveness of the sentence. There are alternatives to prison, such as community service. France 2 plans a special broadcast about the French jail system. They need a specialist explaining why there are so many empty cells in the Netherlands. In the end criminologist Jan van Dijk gives the interview in front of a former jail in Amsterdam. Video Link!
